DHARNA TO ‘SAVE INDIAN RAILWAYS’ – POSTPONED
Dear Friends,
As you know, the honorable Delhi High Court has admitted our PIL, which questions the appointment of Chairman Railway Board. In respect to the court, and the legal proceedings, as well as on the advice of many of you we have decided to POSTPONE the Dharna at Jantar Mantar that was to begin on 23rd May. As you know we were to begin a Hunger Strike to Save Indian Railways. We had also created a charter of demands, which was to be released on 23rd. However, thinking from a legal point of view and to respect the judiciary we have delayed our strike.
Please note: this is not to say the strike has been cancelled. This strike will happen at all costs. It is only postponed. Stay tuned, for the next date. For now, we will closely consider the legal proceedings; we have faith in the high court that it will give directions to Railways that will put an end to such-high level manipulations. And, while we wait patiently for the next date, please continue sending us your suggestions, solutions, and support for the betterment of Railways.
There are many other issues that are harming Indian Railways. We will prepare more comprehensively in the next few months for this postponed strike and build up support for a movement where all these issues will be brought out.
We expect you will not be disappointed with this delay and will re-gather your energies to support us. For everyone who has supported us we thank you...!!
We hope you will continue supporting us and spreading the word.
Change is coming soon to Indian Railways.
Will you be a part of it..?
Be on the right side of history.
